The center holding is crucial to a stable society. What is happening in our country is the demonization of the left by the right and the right by the left. And Trump excels at demonizing people who disagree with him. And our whole media environment just adds to the divisiveness.

No, I don't think we get anywhere by scolding each other.

I watched and listened to former Pres Trump on Jan 6th. He certainly seemed to me to be loving towards the people who violently invaded the Capitol and very negative towards our congress people who were inside the building. And he continues to deny he lost that election (after more than 60 court cases). In my mind, this disqualifies him from any public office. How else can I view that? He seems dangerous to our system.

Right, scolding black people to tell them what they're supposed to do and how they're supposed to vote is something Democrats always do. It's insulting and ridiculous.

As for former President Trump and January 6, the media removed to try to hide that when protesting seemed to be inevitable, he specifically posted that if they do so, it should be only be done peacefully--an American right. Any other narrative about him inciting an insurrection is fake. Nancy Pelosi denied extra law enforcement protection, which he requested. Most of the people were escorted--peacefully--through the U.S. Capitol by police and left peacefully. Many such people were then locked up, some still incarcerated because the weaponization of government is the new trend, just as the "Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax" was the trend.

Regarding what Trump believes about who won in 2020, so what? Is he not entitled to believe what he wants? He's an American, and as you mentioned the Constitution in your earlier comment, I would say it certainly is not unconstitutional for him to believe a whole lot of shenanigans were going on. In fact, aren't they still finding ballots that were stashed behind closed doors or in trunks? And we all know there were tons of abnormalities in the voting process. So I don't begrudge Trump or anyone the right to believe everything wasn't on the up and up because everything was not on the up and up. I'm not interested in controlling his mind and what he believes. People think Caitlin Clark fans are nuts because they believe that she is being targeted. They can think whatever they want, even if they're wrong.

Furthermore, Trump's accomplishments as president were off the charts, and the nation, the Middle East, our pocketbooks, our border, our minority communities and universities, our businesses, our military, our energy independence...were in a much better place than with this current administration.

And I would not vote for Harris and Walz for anything. Their obsession with the killing of innocent life, the socialist worldview, the pushing of pornography in our schools, the desire to deny school choice to families, the chopping off of even children's body part (without parental consent, mind you), lies about military service, no idea what a woman is, setting women's sports back 50 years with the gutting of Title IX, wanting boys and men to be able to compete against girls and to threaten all of our safety by allowing them and their penises in locker rooms, bathrooms, etc., with little girls and women, having no clue concerning the economy, hypocrisy in their infatuation with "climate change," the woke agenda overall, and a disregard for religious liberties are just a few of the things I will never support that the Harris-Walz ticket embodies. Foreign leaders are begging for Trump to lose because they are chomping at the bit to have a crack at Kamala, who has no accomplishments in 3 1/2 years in office. She was tasked with one thing--the border--and, well, you see what's going on there and the ramifications thereof. No one can name why we should trust her with the highest office in the land, and she surely cannot articulate it herself. It's no coincidence that Putin did not invade Ukraine while Trump was in office. So although Trump can be rather blunt, to say the least, I am not interested in selling this country down the river so we don't get mean tweets. We need a leader who has governed well--quite effectively in terms of policy and achievements--and I believe he can get it done again. I do not buy the control tactic of the left that he is a dangerous man. Look at his record. In fact, it's the "dangerous" rhetoric from "leadership" pretending to be about unity that has put his life in danger. The media are set up to sell a narrative and to tell us not to believe our "lying eyes." I know their games. I work in the media and political arena.

That's just a spattering of information--because you asked.

Adrienne, I listen to your sports commentary and really enjoy it. I cannot understand your support for someone who encouraged a disruption in the peaceful transfer of power in 2020. And still won't acknowledge he lost that election. I grew up in the 1950's and 60's. Allegiance to our country's constitution and our major institutions is essential. He has undermined trust and ratcheted up divisiveness to a degree unimaginable just 15 or 20 years ago.

My reason for non-support of the left is an easy one, but I think it's best to start with this particular article. Are you saying that Obama's scolding of black people about how they "are supposed to vote" is appropriate? We'll start there, and from there, and after your reply, I have no problem elaborating on why I would never support Harris or Walz and why my choice for Trump is obvious and easy in spite of the false narrative about him encouraging a disruption of any sort.
