I have not watched a minute of the Democratic National Convention (DNC). That’s unlike me, I know, not to tune in to see what the left is saying heading into a November election, but I already knew much of what they would say—and from all accounts, I was right. I have chosen not to have my stomach churn and skin crawl this election year, so I have, instead, been more productive with my time this go ‘round.
Because the script always has its basic staples, I have selected not to listen to all the hype about what Kamala Harris—who hasn’t done one thing as vice president anyone can name—brings to the presidential table. Understand, this is the same politician Democrats couldn’t stand, right up until they set up President Biden to embarrass himself in a debate against former President Trump. Yes, “set up.” They knew full well the world would get to see what they had already seen and were lying about concerning Biden’s cognitive decline. Until Harris became the left’s useful tool, her polling was in the tank. Y’all did know that much of politics is who can be used and when, right? Okay, just checking.
I have chosen so far this week not to hear the radical leftist allegiance to killing unborn babies, chopping off children’s body parts, and hatred towards Trump. I don’t like to use the word “hate,” but we all know that this is what many—most?—of the people involved in the DNC spectacle feel about him. The rest of us call it by its real name: Trump Derangement Syndrome.
So my stomach hasn’t been churning this week—well, not from the Convention anyway. 🤣 And I’ve gotten more important things accomplished because if I wanted to watch a lie, I’d just get on the scale. (It is lying, isn’t it? Please tell me it is!)
Perhaps I will tune in to hear Harris speak on Thursday night to close out the gathering. We’ll see how my stomach and skin feel about it. I’ll consult them first.
What about you? Have you been tuning in? And what are your thoughts?
I waited until Thurs to see the newly dubbed “Savior” accept the Democratic nomination. Wow! The bells! The whistles! The huge Pomp & Circumstance! The entire and utter failure of anything substantial!!
Honestly, I have a “true fear” for our country, for my family, friends and with how the world is going…for the World.
No matter how many times “fear” was spouted from the DNC, it brought me to focus on it, specifically. The result has me more concerned about Kamala Harris even has a Chance to become president.
I do Fear. For the entire World & its humanity, should that woman win.
Your vocabulary lesson was spot on. You missed only “liar” and “policy” (or lack thereof.)
I pray for everyone and that our country’s citizens, government and the politicians that are supposed to Lead us, for the future of the people they are sworn to protect.
God Bless America! 🇺🇸🇺🇸
It's so hard to express what I felt these past 3 days listening to the DNC, I forced myself but heartache, headache, stomachache along with not being able to fall asleep after all the lies that were spewed while so many uninformed people (young ones especially) were taking all in as it was presented. At times I had to mute or change the channel, it was too painful. I pray that President Trump will focus on issues, no name calling, it helps no one. Sad! Scary! But I know GOD is in control.
