Listen now | The Indiana Fever fans are being labeled racist by various factions of the WNBA in a clear message that they don't want Caitlin Clark or her fans in the league.
Miss Ross, thank you so so much for your podcast today. I absolutely love watching CC of the Indiana Fever play so I became a fan once of she was drafted to the Fever. Never watched a WNBA game a day in my life until I watched CC during her college years and got drafted. I am sure that it is the same of millions of other fans who have only tuned into the WNBA games because of CC. I was watched the entire game and watched all the post game press conference and was absolutely appalled at what AT from the SUNS about fever fans and how they clumped all the Indiana Fever fans and CC fans in such a negative light and basically demonizing all of us. I live in California and traveled to Indianapolis to watch their last season home game. I don’t think that AT realizes that without the fans that CC brought over with her from her college playing days is what is driving all the new viewership and exposure leading to higher ticket prices which is feeding into the WNBA so every single player is benefiting by this uptick of interest. I can tell you right now that I spent thousands to fly out from California to experience the game live and it was all worth it for a chance to see CC in action live! I felt personally attacked when AT called out Fever fans and clumped us all together. I flew out with my young daughter who is also a CC fan! AT could learn a thing or two from CC. I think AT maybe should stay off her social media and try to be a better version of herself and do what she is getting played to do which is play the game of basketball rather than interact with social media trolls. How awful of AT to insult all of the fever fans out there!!! I sincerely thank you for your podcast today and for showing us how the Fever players are taking the high road and thanking their fans!!!
Good words, Linda! I disagree that AT doesn't get how much CC is doing for the league. I have said before even one game was played this season and a few times during the season: they don't care. I maintain that it the truth. I have said this many times, so I'll quote myself again: "They would rather go back to basic obscurity and lose big picture than to win big picture with CC as the face of the league." It's sad, but I believe it's true. It's not true for every player, but it is true for the WNBA at its core.
God Bless you Adrienne! Sometimes I don't believe some people have any common sense! You are absolutely correct in your analysis!

But Caitlin continues to take the high road which proves them all misguided.
True!
