I'm so glad I've watched many of your videos about the WNBA. I am impressed with your sports analysis and agree with lots of what you say. We--our country-- need sports to be common ground for all of us. In fact, I think we need more common (non-political) public ground.
I feel connected with you through sports. I say this because we are on very different sides politically, but I'm relieved we have areas beyond politics where we can meet.
Also, I am not religious, but I do have strong spiritual leanings and good values. I like many of the things you said when you were describing your books.
So, on the surface, we are quite different, but I think we have a lot in common.
Sally, I greatly appreciate your comment! I believe that while people have various differences, there are so many areas where we can agree with one another. There will always be key areas that bring out passionate responses in people, and healthy debate is important. What you just wrote encourages me that we can have common ground and mutual respect even while acknowledging where we differ. I love that! It has become increasingly rare, sadly. Sports has had a way of providing an escape from all the drama, but now, it also comes with an intense drama beyond the game. Life is a trip right now! LOL! Nonetheless, basketball and talking basketball are fun, and I'm really enjoying being able to engage with people like you and others. God bless you, and thank you! ❤️
