What Refusing to Arm Our Schools Says About Our Society

You’ve heard the saying: “The true measure of any society can be found in how it treats its most vulnerable members.” It’s been quoted and paraphrased through the years. And it’s as valid now as it was when first said. And if we measured this society by how we protect our children, I’m not sure we’d fare so well. Let me put that in terms we can all, unfortunately, understand all too well right now. I’ve said it more times than I can count, and I hate that this is true, but I must say it again. Continuing to fight against armed security in any school, when evil is committed to demonstrating its cowardice by targeting them, reveals we do not value children as we should.
