Happy Veterans Day to every man and woman who has served our country. We owe you much—the least of which is that we would endeavor to preserve what you have secured and protected. I am ever grateful for your personal sacrifice from time with your family, the wear and tear on your body, the humility with which you served, and the list goes on. “Thank you” doesn’t do justice, but I do thank you.
My father, John Ross Jr., was a Vietnam veteran. Here he is, the Army man—so young, so handsome:

Who else has a parent who is a veteran?
My grandpa Bill was a Veteran. He served in WW2
Adrienne: I too am a US Army veteran. I served in the Army from June 21, 1971 through June 20, 1974. I am living proof that education does matter in the military since I served my time all in the Washington DC area. I graduated from SEMO in May, 1971 with an accounting degree.
