Turkish Parliament Member Who Collapsed with Heart Attack After Speaking Ill of Israel Dies

The Turkish member of Parliament who collapsed on Tuesday immediately after criticizing Israel for its war against Hamas has died.

Hasan Bitmez, only 53 years old, ripped into Israel during a speech in which he reportedly accused Israel of “crimes against humanity” and “ethnic cleansing.” The parliamentarian ended his remarks condemning Israel for its war against Hamas following Hamas’s October 7 terrorist attack against Israel by pronouncing that “Israel will not escape the wrath of Allah!”

Bitmez then collapsed and was taken to the hospital, where it was announced he had suffered a heart attack. He died on Thursday.
