A Subtler New Year's Greeting
Happy New Year, everyone. I pray you have an amazing 2026.
This is a strange start to a new year for me. My family lost Aunt Alma the day after Christmas, so our hearts are heavy. Auntie helped raise my siblings and me, and I credit her for helping to shape me into the person I am, something for which I am eternally grateful. Most important is her relationship with Jesus and that she is with Him now; as the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:8, “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord” [emphasis mine].
