Wasn’t there a time when the mainstream media pretended to be the method of communication by which people received information? That time is long gone, as evidenced by the reaction to former President Donald Trump’s CNN town hall in New Hampshire on Wednesday night—including the network’s own reaction. The hatred for the Republican frontrunner backfired during the event, causing anchor Anderson Cooper to fire back after the event, going so far as to paint Trump as a racist and a liar, among other insults, and his supporters as ignorant sheep. Then, as the video shows, he gave CNN viewers permission not to ever tune in again, a move I recognize as reverse psychology.
