Radical Race-Baiting: NAACP Issues ‘Travel Advisory’ to Warn Black People to Stay Away from Florida
The NAACP Board of Directors issued a “travel advisory,” telling black people to stay away from Florida because the Sunshine State “is openly hostile to people of color,” among others. Perhaps this would have a modicum of sincerity if the chairman of the board, Leon Russell, didn’t himself enjoy the benefits of not just visiting Florida, but actually living there. However, the far-left organization is discouraging other black people from enjoying occasionally what he gets to enjoy daily.
This advisory calls out Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has taken a hard stand against how children are educated in his state: “Please be advised that Florida public schools will not teach your children accurate African-American history, which includes a history of enslavement, segregation, racial injustice and systemic racism.”
The NAACP said the advisory “comes in direct response to Governor Ron DeSantis' aggressive attempts to erase Black history and to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in Florida schools,” then predictably links it to LGBTQ+ people.
Let’s set the record straight.
