The fake news media—to use a term they’ve railed against but continue to show it’s accurate—have embarrassed themselves and simultaneously revealed their fear that former President Donald Trump will defeat President Joe Biden in November. Their faux outrage over Trump’s use of the word “bloodbath” while speaking in Ohio this past weekend set them up to have their own repeated use of the expression put on blast.
First, here’s Trump’s comment in context:
We’re going to put a 100 percent tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you’re not going to be able to sell those cars if I get elected. Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole… That’s going to be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country. That’ll be the least of it. But they’re not going to sell those cars. They’re building massive factories.
And he continued.
No one truly believes Trump was talking about a literal bloodbath. Well, I may be giving some people too much credit, so let me tweak that: no one with a little bit of intelligence thinks he was speaking of a literal bloodbath. I’ll put on my English teacher hat for a second. This is what is called figurative language. In this case, “bloodbath” is a metaphor. Repeat after me, boys and girls faking ignorance (and those who really are ignorant): “‘Bloodbath’ used here is a metaphor.”
Very good, boys and girls.

If one struggles with that, here’s something easier, one of Merriam-Webster’s definitions of the word: “a major economic disaster.”
Trump was speaking of the auto industry, and most, if not all, of these people trying to scare the American people to death know that, but their assignment is to carry water for the Biden campaign, which also purposely misconstrued the former president’s words, along with the likes of Rep. Nancy Pelosi.
You know desperation is oozing when Never Trumpers like Jonah Goldberg at the Los Angeles Times and people like Geraldo Rivera and Stephen A. Smith call that desperation out.
The anti-Trump crowd has yet to catch on, it seems. Their actions only further convince people of the dishonesty of the media and drive up Trump’s poll numbers as well as set researchers to researching. Sara Gonzales of The Blaze’s Sara Gonzales Unfiltered put together a glorious montage of the media using the same word the lamestream media lambasted Trump for using, lying yet again to their viewers. This is too juicy. Check it out:
I love these clips from Gonzales, and I am sharing them because we can’t keep looking the other way while ultra-partisan puppets do a disservice to their profession and to those who trust them—if any such people remain.
So share away, too!
Let’s perseverate on a word or phrase again and not tell the whole story. They must think we are all stupid. Someone did say the left wing will run with this.
Unbelievable! But when Trump says it then it really means he's going to murder people. 😆 The mainstream media is a joke!
