“I am an intelligence officer, and I am a man who likes to wear women’s clothes sometimes. I think my experiences as someone who crossdresses have sharpened the skills I use as an intelligence officer, particularly critical thinking and perspective-taking. This has been useful in understanding foreign actor motivations and [human intelligence] asset motivations. I think it also has made me a better colleague.” No, this is not the beginning of an espionage novel or movie. This actually appears in the winter newsletter of the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence. The newsletter is called The Dive. Seems like an appropriate title. With all the challenges the country faces, this is a priority of our national [un]intelligence officials. But it gets better worse…
The unidentified official credited “crossdressing” with “strategic empathy” and stated that “many in the international relations and national security fields” agree. So pretending to be a woman helps him “better understand foreign actors,” which translates to doing his job more effectively.
This official went on to applaud the benefit of wearing a bra and heels. “I understand firsthand how wearing heels can make your feet hurt,” he wrote. The man does enjoy wearing a bra, though. “Although I like wearing a bra, I know it isn’t comfortable for everyone, and is less comfortable after a few hours.” Not only is his crossdressing ridiculous, but his deducing womanhood to feet and breasts is insulting. His perspective that putting on heels and a bra, then taking them off whenever he feels like it, gives him the 411 on what a woman is makes me want to take a look at his credentials. Where is this intelligence officer’s intelligence? Please put your pants back on, sir, because you’re embarrassing women everywhere.
His writing was filled with terms like “non-binary,” “genderfluid,” “transgender,” and “gender identity” and is also filled with a whole lot of talk that has nothing to do with what Americans expect from those entrusted with national security and defense. Just as we are doing with our armed forces, we are now transforming our intelligence agencies into cultural experiments. Meanwhile, we have an open border, crippling inflation, crime spikes with weakening consequences, and a president with a memory problem.
