Donald Trump Announces Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance as Running Mate

Former President Donald Trump has announced on Monday that his vice presidential running mate is Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio.

Vance, a senator since 2023, was widely rumored to be on Trump’s short list.

Just two days after 20-year-old would-be assassin Timothy Matthew Crooks attempted to end Trump’s life at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, the former president ended all speculation and made it official. Vance, just 39 years old, will help Trump in his commitment to Make America Great Again.
