California Gov. Gavin Newsom Introduces Bill for Arizonans to Get Abortions in His State—Instead of Providing Resources to Support Pregnant Women and Girls
The Democrat governor of California, Gavin Newsom, is taking steps to help Arizonan women and girls end the lives of their babies following the Arizona Supreme Court decision to uphold the state’s abortion ban. Instead of providing resources to help those who are pregnant or to encourage adoption, he’s inviting doctors from Arizona to come on over to Cali to help with the increased number of out-of-state abortions he’s expecting. This is what you call leadership in the year 2024.
It boggles the mind why far-leftists are obsessed with child sacrifice. President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and, not to be outdone, Newsom are all-in on providing the type of “health care” that results in an innocent baby dying. “First, do no harm” is what healthcare providers are supposedly committed to. Instead, they seek out harm. With all that is wrong in the nation and, consequently, in states—California chief among them—so-called leaders are hell-bent on making sure women can kill flesh of their flesh and bone of their bone. It doesn’t take a whole lot of research to know that whatever a woman is going through to bring her to the place of considering abortion, that act only compounds the trauma.
Politico reports:
Top California leaders introduced a plan Wednesday to expand abortion access for Arizonans coming across the border, including opening doors to out-of-state doctors.
Gov. Gavin Newsom’s bill would allow licensed Arizona physicians to quickly get a temporary license to see their patients in California through Nov. 30, according to details shared exclusively with POLITICO ahead of the official unveiling.
Newsom’s love for abortion is not anything new. The Associated Press highlighted some of his actions, writing [emphasis added]:
Newsom pushed for abortion access to be enshrined in the California Constitution. He approved $20 million of taxpayer money to help pay for women in other states to come to California for abortions, and he signed dozens of laws aimed at making it harder for other states to investigate women who do so, including banning social media companies from complying with subpoenas or warrants.
In 2022, months after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, California launched a publicly funded website to promote the state’s abortion services, including information about financial help for travel expenses and letting teenagers in other states know that California does not require them to have their parents’ permission to get an abortion in the state.
There is something evil about encouraging death over life, about keeping parents in the dark about something as serious as abortion, and about demonizing those who want what’s best for both the expectant parents and their unborn and soon-to-be born children. Abortion should not be a political issue. Unfortunately, it has become so, and Democrats have proudly become the party that screams, “Shout my abortion!” and they want everyone to be able to do the same.
What a better culture we would be if we used every available resource to support those who find themselves in circumstances they did not anticipate and even in circumstances that are terrifying. Instead, a group called “Red, Wine and Blue” will cover the cost for Arizona medical providers to prove their licensing and all documentation needed. Newsom’s office says that “no state funds will be used.” Imagine if that kind of support was used to encourage and support pregnant women and girls.

The left always pretends they are pro-women and that women can do absolutely anything. They’re all about, “I am woman! Hear me roar!”—unless that involves carrying to term, raising, or giving up for adoption a baby created in the image of God.
Despite the Arizona Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the abortion ban, babies and women are not out of danger from pro-abortionists. Just hours after Newsom’s announcement, the Arizona House voted to repeal the abortion ban, and if that comes to fruition, it will not take effect until three months after the legislative session ends. Newsom wants “swift action,” according to Politico, to “fill a critical gap for care during a meaningful period of time before an Arizona repeal could be implemented.” This measure would only be for Arizona doctors “in good standing” and their patients and would be in effect until November. So kind of him to help out.
Many have heard it said that what people truly care about can be ascertained simply by looking at their checkbooks. This is no exception. The governor of California and complicit groups, the President of the United States, his vice president, their administration, and the Democratic Party are fully invested in the culture of death. If they cared about life at all, about women and girls at all, about families at all, about decency at all, they would turn their attention to uplifting life. They do no such thing because they have no such interest.
