America Last: Biden Says Laken Riley's Alleged Murderer Is 'Technically' an 'Illegal,' Then Caves
President Biden ventured off teleprompter during his State of the Union address Thursday night after Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) yelled out to him to say the name of Laken Riley—the 22-year-old nursing student who was murdered, allegedly by an illegal immigrant. The collective breath-holding was palpable, no one knowing what the president would say. Democrats especially were waiting to exhale, as their hope for the night was that Biden would just make it through without any major mishaps. And then this; he took up MTG’s attention-grabbing challenge and committed the left’s cardinal sin: he used the term “illegal.”
“Lincoln Riley—an innocent young woman who was killed by an illegal,” Biden said, instead of saying the correct name, Laken. Lincoln Riley is the USC football coach. That didn’t go over well, especially with Laken’s mother, who posted on Facebook, “Biden does not even KNOW my child’s name” and called it “pathetic!” She continued, “If you are going to say her name (even when forced to do so) at least say the right name!”
Biden owns the immigration problem, as he has left our borders—and safety—wide open. While he blamed Republicans during his speech for the nation’s immigration woes, the truth is the day he became president, he dismantled former President Trump’s policies, which were working. He put Riley and all of us at risk, and we all are seeing and experiencing the results.

He decided to take on MTG, but in so doing, he spoke the truth, calling her alleged murderer an “illegal.” Outrage within his party ensued. Imagine a truth so simple being controversial.
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) tried to downplay the president’s violation of the left’s acceptable language but did say, “He should have said ‘undocumented.’”
“Just like we should not be implementing Republican policy, we should not be repeating Republican rhetoric,” Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) said.
“The rhetoric President Biden used tonight was dangerously close to language from Donald Trump that puts a target on the backs of Latinos everywhere,” Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-TX), a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, wrote on X, formerly called Twitter.
Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA), also a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, said that “the president’s ad-lib … was deeply disappointing.”
NBC News quoted a “Democratic lawmaker” as saying, “It was just shocking rhetoric to hear [“illegal”] from a Democratic president who campaigned against demonizing immigrants.”
I’ll stop there because that’s enough for us to see that Democrats have it all backwards, which is why we have this immigration crisis.
When asked on Friday if he “regrets using the word ‘illegal’ to describe immigrants,” Biden stuttered his way to saying, “Technically, he’s not supposed to be here.”
“Technically” is the word for “legally,” which means the man is an illegal, which is what Biden said in his speech. It might be the most honest thing he said during his address.
But that must have been before he got wind of all the outrage—because in an MSNBC interview with Jonathan Capehart on Saturday, he backtracked, expressing “regret.”
“Undocumented person. I shouldn’t have used ‘illegal.’ It’s undocumented,” he capitulated.
A young woman with her whole life ahead of her, someone who was planning to spend her life nursing others to health was murdered by someone who is [obligatory “allegedly” again] in this country illegally, and instead of focusing on that, they are focused on not insulting the man, of using woke language. This is a slap in the face of Laken Riley, her loved ones—and the American people. It is also another indication that we need to retire Biden in November. Like some folks, I wondered at times why President Trump chose to post “mean tweets,” but I never wondered if he put America First.
The names used for these illegal immigrants changes so often, it's a wonder anyone can keep up, let alone sleepy Joe Biden. I thought they were now "newcomers". If Joe wins in November, we'll be calling them neighbor.
